Cisco1812JのRAM増設してFlashを入れ替えてみました。

お疲れ様です。bassetです。

今回は食べ物ネタではありませーん。

自宅用に中古で買ったCisco１８１２Ｊっていうルーターをちょっと
いじってたので、その時のメモ程度の物です。

SDRAMがボード上に128M載ってるんですが、
SDRAMとFlashも純正品でなくても増設出来るらしいので、
とりあえずやってみることにしました。

下記物品を購入。

トラセンド
32Mx64 200P DDR SDRAM(16Mx16/CL2/5)(TS32MSD64V6G5)

グリーンハウス
GH-CF128MC

SDRAM編
Ciscoサイト上にある手順書を元にとりあえずカバーをはずしてみました。
こんな感じです。。。

写真右下にスロットがあるのでそこにメモリを差し込む。

こんな感じになりました。
んでもって電源入れて確認してみました。

ちなみに増設前のshow versionです。

増設後のshow versionです。

認識されました。（＾＾）v

Flash編

まず、フォーマットしようと思って手順書読んだんですが、
RommonでやんのかそれともIOSで立ち上がってからやんのか
よくわかりませんでした。。。とりあえず、電源落としてＦｌａｓｈ入れ替えて
立ち上げてみました。もちろん、再起動繰り返します。
こんな感じで。。。。

Rommonでフォーマットできるか？で見てみたところ、そんなコマンドありませんでした。。。

なので、、、ＩＯＳがちゃんと入ってたＦｌａｓｈを入れて起動後、
コンソールログイン。機器前面のＣＦのＬＥＤが光ってないことを確認してからＣＦを抜いてみました。するとこんなメッセージがでます。

Nov 8 04:13:23.797: %FILESYS-5-CF: External CompactFlash removed

んで、新しいCFを入れてみます。こんなメッセージが出ます。

Flash card inserted in flash. Reading filesystem…done.

Nov 8 04:13:31.357: %FILESYS-5-CF: External CompactFlash inserted

特権モードから下記コマンド入力してフォーマットします。

Router#format flash:
Format operation may take a while. Continue? [confirm]
Format operation will destroy all data in “flash:”. Continue? [confirm]
Format: Drive communication & 1st Sector Write OK…

確認です。

Router#show flash:
No files on device

機械側で認識されました。
あとはTFTPでIOSをFlashに入れて再起動。とりあえず起動確認できました。
あ、、、自宅用なんでそんなにチェックはしてません。
不具合ないかとか一切確認してませんので。。。（＾＾；
